History

Bistoon Specialized and Subspecialized Hospital is the largest private hospital in Kermanshah province and one of the most equipped medical centers in the western part of the country. The construction of this hospital began in a two-hectare area with a foundation of 18,500 square meters in 1994 and started its activities in 1999. Initially, it had 150 beds and departments for surgery, women, emergency, radiology laboratory, physiotherapy, maternity ward, pediatrics, neonatology, and specialized eye clinic. In 2003, the ICU and CCU departments were established. In 2010, the cardiology and angiography departments were also added to the hospital. By expanding the physical space of the hospital and establishing new departments, the number of beds increased to 215 in 2011.

Currently, Bistoon Specialized and Subspecialized Hospital is a general hospital with extensive medical coverage and is the most equipped private hospital in the western part of the country. It aims to provide comprehensive healthcare services and accommodate specialist and subspecialist physicians in all fields. Looking at the 10-year outlook of this hospital, it has obtained a license from Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences to increase the number of beds to 260.

The activities of this center include pediatric subspecialties, internal medicine, cardiology, general surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, ICU, cardiac ICU, gynecological surgery, NICU for newborns, orthopedics, maxillofacial surgery, ENT, urology, and emergency services. The paraclinical facilities of this center include a laboratory, pathology department, radiology, physiotherapy, and sonography. In addition to the mentioned activities, this center is equipped with operating rooms, CT scan, angiography, chemotherapy department, general surgeries in all fields, cardiac surgery, radiotherapy, and ophthalmology subspecialty clinic
